You may remember that we were researching the Laurent Clerc Literary Society in earlier posts. Well we have to thank Brad and Jean over at the Cogswell Heritage House at ASD for finding a banner sewn by Justine Farrell in May of 1951 for the club.

The society ran from the mid 1800's to 1972 at ASD and focused on training deaf students to present in public through plays and lectures.

We are exploring the idea that there were other societies formed at other schools for the Deaf.

If you have any information please let us know.
