Clerc Classic Basketball Tournament

This year's tourney will be held at the California School for the Deaf in Fremont! "Clerc Classic Basketball Tournament originated at the Model Secondary School for the Deaf in 2000 under its Athletic Director, Michael Weinstock, who envisioned a national basketball tournament for outstanding athletes from the top Deaf schools. The tournament typically occurs during the second weekend of January. The school who wins that year's tournament often wins the year's Deaf Prep National Championship."

The Clerc Classic is behind us but it was very exciting basketball, augmented by the presence of our main man, Flat Laurent. Here he is listening to Michael Weinstock, creator of the Clerc Classic. A big shout out to the boys, girls and cheer leader championship teams.

The last tourney apparently took place in 2020. Here is a video highlight!

The 2021 tourney was cancelled due to Covid-19 restrictions.
