The History of Sign Language

George Dalgarno (1616-1687) is their next victim. Seems he was from a long line of linguists that contemplated languages and were perplexed about the Deaf. He published his book but then decided to take a position at Oxford teaching the hearing. -Laurent-

L'histoire de la langue des signes George Dalgarno (1616-1687) est leur prochaine victime. Il semblerait qu'il appartenait à une longue lignée de linguistes qui contemplaient les langues et étaient perplexes au sujet des Sourds. Il a publié son livre mais a ensuite décidé de prendre un poste à Oxford pour enseigner l'audience. -Laurent-
